NEW DELHI, Sept 18: Hari Krishen Langoo, Chief Secretary and founder Member of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan Jammu, was conferred with one-time Sangeet Natak Akademi Amrit Award at New Delhi.
Vice-President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar conferred the Amrit Awards on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in presence of Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister for Law and Justice (Independent Charge); Minister of State for Culture and Parliamentary Affairs, Meenakashi Lekhi; Dr Sandhya Purecha; Chairperson, Sangeet Natak Akademi and Uma Nanduri, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Govt of India.
Langoo has also worked in Asia’s biggest Theatre Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting , Govt of India, in various centers and given contribution as Assistant Director more than 40 years (Folk Media). He has worked as Music Director of the famous serial “Gul Gulshan Gulfaam” and presented National Level Musical production allotted by the Academy of Art Culture and Languages , Jammu & Kashmir.
The Sangeet Natak Akademi Amrit Award carries a purse money of Rs 1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh), besides a Tamrapatra and Angavastram.
Being recipient of various prestigious awards, Mr Langoo is folk director who has mainly focused on promotion of Duggar culture in various Folk Music progammes, including Musical plays at National Level.
