Jammu, Sept 18: An Awareness Camp on Poshan Maah 2023 and ongoing Poshan welfare schemes was organised by Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Dansal, Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal Sat Community hall panchayat Panjgrain in Dansal.
The programme was conducted under the theme of the Poshan Maah 2023 i.e.Suposhit Bharat,Shakshar Bharat and Sashakt Bharat”.
On the occasion, Joint Director Mission Directorate Poshan D S Katoch, District Program Officer, Jammu, Renu Bhasin and Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Jammu, Ajeet Singh were the chief Guests. Shalini Raina JKAS BDO Nagrota, Kailash Devi, CDPO Jammu, Mohit Bharti, CDPO Kot Bhalwal and Thoru Ram Sarpanch Panjgrain were the special Invitees. On this Programme Supervisors, Anganwadi Workers PRIs members locals and a large no of Beneficiaries of POSHAN Project Dansal were alsopresent.
A detailed lecture on rice fortification and importance of millets for ensuring good health of beneficiaries wasdelivered by Ajeet Singh Assistant Commissioner Food Safety Jammu. Different nutrition items were also displayed which were prepared in the Anganwadi Centres.
Further a group song and poem on Poshan was recited by children of Anganwadi centers and a pledge oath ceremony on Poshan was also conducted among all the participants.
The Vote of Thanks was given by CDPO Dansal Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, who highlighted the importance of Poshan (Nutrition)and adoption of healthy nutrition practices among the beneficiaries, so that the Nutritional status at Anganwadi Centres can be improved .
