KARGIL, Sept 18: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today visited Drass in this district in the Union Territory of Ladakh and paid tribute at Kargil War Memorial.
Shinde was in Srinagar yesterday in connection with launch of a programme along with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

The Maharashtra Chief Minister paid tribute to the fallen soldiers and recalled their services to the nation.
Kargil War Memorial has been set up at Drass as a tribute to the bravehearts who sacrificed their lives during war with Pakistan in 1999.
