JAMMU, June 22: Senior BJP leader and former HRD Minister, Murli Manohar Joshi arrived here this afternoon for a two days visit to Jammu.
Dr Joshi will be the chief guest in one -day seminar on Central Interlocutors’ report at Jammu Club here tomorrow being organized by J&K Peoples Forum.
In the morning he will attend Dr Shama Prashad Mukerjee’s Balidan Divas function at BJP Headquarters here and pay tributes to late leader who laid down his life in the State for abolishing permit system and launched a nation-wide movement against two Pradhan, two Nishan and two Vidhan status of the State which it enjoyed under special Constitutional position.
Soon after his arrival in the City of Temples the veteran BJP leader convened a meeting of senior BJP leaders to discuss the prevailing political situation in the State viz a viz recent interlocutors’ report.
The meeting among other BJP leaders was attended by Party state president Shamsher Singh Manhas, MLAs Ashok Khajruia, Choudhary Sukhnandan and Sham Choudhary, BJP chief spokesman of the State and National Executive member Dr Jitendra Singh, Party general secretary Sat Sharma (C A) and other leaders.
They briefed him about the prevailing political situation in the State.
