Samba police arrests 2 inter district narco smugglers

Seizes heroin worth Rs one lakh

SAMBA, Sept 20: Samba Police has arrested two inter-district heroin smugglers in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana and recovered heroin worth rupees one lakh approximately from their possession.
The arrests were made by the police under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh.
The arrested heroin smugglers have been identified as IsrarTalib son of Talib Hussain of Rajouri at present Jammu and Kannav Magotraalias Kannus of Barinder Magotra of Jammu.
The arrested heroin smugglers were involved in heroin smuggling from Samba to Jammu & Rajouri districts.
A case FIR No 224/2023 U/S 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation is underway.
The heroin smugglers have been arrested by the police at the naka laid by district NDPS team, district Special Branch Samba and Police Station party led by SHO PS, Bari Brahmana Sumit Sharma under the supervision of SDPO, Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
On the directions of SSP, Samba, Benam Tosh, police has smashed all heroin hotspots in Samba district and in the past eight months 72 hard core narco-smugglers and suppliers including 13 female narco-smuggler/suppliers have been arrested. Isolated attempts of smuggling and supplying are being dealt with sternly under law and habitual heroin suppliers are being detained under stringent PITNDPS Act also.
