Crimes against women

Sir,
Crimes against women in the shape of humiliations, domestic violence, rape and murder, certainly, speak loudly about law and order conditions and immoral atmosphere almost every where. The recent graph of indecent and immoral behaviour towards the fair- sex has made everyone usashamed.
Gruesome killings of young girls is a matter of grave concern. Perhaps even in the most uncivilized and uncultured period of history, this type of vulgarism might not have prevailed. In common man’s opinion, weak law and order conditions, lack of moral education in schools and colleges and uncaring and lackadaisical attitude on the part of the parents to educate their children the significance of human values, are fundamental reasons for the present scenario in the society. It is feared that if the prevailing situation continues unabatedly, the women and world would get awefully disturbed and harassed. Until deterrence is generated by exemplary punishments, the crime graph would remain unreduced. Obviously, the role of the society in mitigating such happenings, is also significant. The mothers who breed such guys can also be held responsible and contributory in this regard. Where have those days gone when a lady laden with ornaments could travel alone unfeared of humiliation and unbecoming behaviour by any one. The matter deserves a thoughtful action so that such shameful happenings don’t occur again.
