Kathua police seizes 6.24 grams of Heroin, arrests one

KATHUA, Sept 21: Kathua Police continuing its drive on drugs putting concrete efforts to eradicate the drugs menace and in consequence District Police Kathua recovered/seized approximately 6.24 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like
narcotics at Chack Drab Khan near Water Tank area of Police Post (PP) Nagri Parole.
In this connection one person was arrested and his motorcycle was seized.
Police said yesterday a police team led by PSI, Ranbhir Singh IC PP, Nagri Parole under the supervision of DySP Hqrs, Kathua, Manjeet Singh and Inspector, Sudhir Sadhotra SHO PS, Kathua laid down a routine naka/patrolling at Chak
Drab area and during naka checking they apprehended one suspect namely Sudham Hussain, son of Noor Mohd of Bhagthalli tehsil and district Kathua who was
found roaming on his Motorcycle bearing Registration Number, PB35N-7860 near Chack Drab Khan water tank area. On Physical search, approximately 6.24 grams of heroin (Chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his illegal possession. Thereafter all the recovered narcotics approximately 6.24 grams heroin along with motorcycle was seized and one person was arrested on the spot.
On this ,a case FIR No. 411/2023 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Kathua and further investigation is under process.
District police, Kathua seeks support from the local people of the area to share information about drug peddling by dialling 100 and their identity will be kept confidential.
