RAMBAN, Sept 21: Police here today arrested two absconders who were wanted in various criminal cases.
SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma had constituted special police teams to apprehend the absconders and the dedicated teams apprehended these two absconders against whom different FIRs were registered at Police Stations Ramban and Gool.
As per case on January 21, 2013 a case in FIR No.14/2013 U/S 454/380/RPC was registered at Police Station Ramban against Fareed Ahmed, son of Ghulam Qadir, resident of Kaluthran, Tehsil Gandoh, Doda and others on the basis of written complaint by Showkit Ahmed, son of Mohd Maqbool Wani, resident of Ward No.4, Ramban.
The accused was absconding after commission of offence and evaded arrest for the last 10 years to avoid the legal proceedings.
A General Warrant of Arrest was issued by the Court and after hectic efforts the police team from Police Station Ramban headed by Inspector Nayeem Mattoo, SHO Ramban arrested the absconder and produced him before the Court of JMIC Ramban.
Similarly, a case in FIR No. 41/2023 U/S 452/304/323/34 IPC was registered at Police Station Gool against Manzoor Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Dharam Gool.
He was absconding after the commission of offence and was evading arrest since last four months to avoid legal proceedings.
A General Warrant of Arrest was issued by the Court of JMIC Gool, Ramban against him.
The Police team headed by Inspector Firdous Ahmed, SHO Gool arrested the absconder and produced him before the Court.
Both the absconders were arrested and produced before the Court under the close supervision of SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma.
