RAMBAN, Sept 22: A protest demonstration was staged by the locals and students of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Khari demanding filling up of vacant posts of lecturers.
The protesters blocked Khari-Nachlana link road for an hour.
They said that out of 14 sanctioned posts of lecturers only four lecturers were posted in the School having more than 500 students.
They threatened that if their demand of filing up of the vacant posts of lecturers was not conceded then they would launch an agitation against the Education Department.
Later on, after the assurance of Tehsildar Khari that the matter shall be taken up with the higher authorities, the protesting locals and students dispersed peacefully.
