JAMMU, Sept 23: On the 128th birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh, a dedicated digital platform “Voice of Dogras (VoDs)” was launched, celebrating and empowering the vibrant Dogra community worldwide.
Major General (Retired) Goverdhan Singh Jamwal launched the website and congratulated the Voice of Dogras team for their initiative.
Jamwal highlighted the platform’s potential to share the rich history and culture of the Dogra community with the world. He stressed the importance of including Dogra history in educational curricula, as Voice of Dogras’ regular content on Jammu’s history and culture has piqued the interest of the youth in learning about their heritage.
Voice of Dogras (www.VoiceOfDogras.com) serves as a virtual home for Dogras, aiming to connect the community, showcase their culture, heritage, and stories.
Its key aims include a community hub aimed at connecting Dogras worldwide through forums, discussion boards, and social networking features, encouraging the sharing of experiences and local traditions, delving into Dogra culture with articles, videos, and interactive content celebrating traditions, festivals, and customs, spotlighting achievements, local culture, and promoting talent among Jammuites, offering insights into Dogra heritage and Jammu’s history through research, documents, photographs, and accounts.
