JAMMU, Sept 23: Election of Private Schools Association (PSA), Jammu was held here today at Amar Singh Club in which representatives from 10 districts participated.
A handout stated that 25 members from each district participated in election process and a total of 197 votes were polled in all while there were 10 contestants in the fray for the posts of president, general secretary and treasurer of PSA.
The outgoing president Kamal Gupta declared the results and Ajay Kumar Gupta was elected as PSA president after winning 189 votes while Sat Paul Mansotra was elected as general secretary and he got 152 votes and the post of the treasurer was won by Sanjeev Luthra after securing 176 votes.
Election Commissioners were Deepak Handa and Lal Chand Gandotra.
Newly elected PSA president Ajay Kumar Gupta said that all the members of PSA will work together as their aims and aspirations are same.
He further said that to overcome all the problems together they have to be united and work towards achieving common goals for betterment of Private Schools.
Sat Pal Mansotra also spoke on the occasion.
Officials conducting the election included Maitreyi Jain, Naresh Kumar, Karuneshwar Gandotra, Ram Prakash and Dr. Vikram Handa.
