JAMMU, Sept 23: At least three vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District today.
A police spokesperson said that one dumper was seized by a team of Police Station Domana led by SHO Domana, Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal, one tractor by a team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Miran Sahib, Inspector Bopinder Singh, and one dumper by a team of Police Post Chattha led by incharge Police Post Chattha, PSI Harjinder Paul Singh from their respective jurisdictions.
“The District Mining Officer (DMO) Jammu has been duly informed about the illegal mining activities,” he said.
The seized vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order, added the police spokesperson.
