UDHAMPUR, Sept 24: Mystery shrouds the death of a young girl whose body was found hanging with a ceiling fan hook at her house at village Sundrani, near here today.
The deceased, identified as Supriya Devi (17), daughter of Hukum Singh, resident of Chiryai Sundrani in Udhampur, was found hanging with a ceiling fan hook at her residence under mysterious circumstances.
On being informed by family members telephonically, SHO Rehmbal Police Station Pushpinder Singh with IC PP Tikri rushed to the spot and shifted the body to PHC Tikri for post-mortem.
Police has registered a case in this connection under 174 CrPC. The deceased appeared to have committed suicide for the unknown reasons, the police said.
