54th Shat Chandi Mahayagya concludes

JAMMU, Sept 24: The 54th Shat Chandi Mahayagya, which spanned 11 days from September 14 to September 24, 2023, concluded with a grand celebration at Baba Sidhgoria Temple here.
The concluding day was marked by religious hymns, the culmination of Bhagwat Katha, and a mass langar that saw the participation of thousands.
Mahant Kuldeep Singh led the festivities, and the event witnessed an extraordinary influx of pilgrims and devotees who gathered at the temple for the Puran Ahuti ceremony and the mass langar. The occasion was graced by the presence of numerous social, political, and religious dignitaries.
The culmination of the Mahayagya commenced with a morning satsang attended by hundreds of devotees at Baba Sidhgoria Temple Paloura, guided by Mahant Kuldeep Singh, accompanied by the chanting of religious slogans and mantras.
Following the religious activities, a special breakfast and langar were served to devotees, and the Sadhu Samaj, who played a significant role in the Mahayagya, were honored with a grand religious festivity.
The Puran Ahuti, a sacred ritual, was performed at 12 pm, followed by the conclusion of the Bhagwat Katha by Mahant Dr Sat Narayan Dass. The event culminated with a Chowki.
Prominent figures who graced the Puranahuti and the conclusion of Bhagwat Katha included Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman of Team Jammu; Mahant Rameshwar Dass, Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma and former MP Shamsher Singh Manhas among other dignitaries.
The managing committee members who played a vital role in the event’s success included Ashok Singh Chib, Satish Sharma Narwal Wale, Atul Sood Shiv Nagar, Vasu, Vishu Jaipal Paloura, Suresh Kumar Laswara, Sonu Baba Paloura, and others.
Mahant Kuldeep Singh and the managing committee members expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the District Administration for their invaluable cooperation in organizing the Mahayagya.
