JAMMU, Sept 24: Women volunteers of Sant Shri Asharam Ashram here today performed VRINDA ABHIYAN under which hundreds of Tulsi plants were distributed among common people at Jewel Chowk, Bus Stand, Railway Station and other areas.
To aware the people about medicinal importance of Tulsi plant, the volunteers also distributed literature, pamphlets and other items made from Tulsi to the common masses.
Under this volunteer activity, women volunteers also distributed Tulsi plants to prominent persons of J&K which included BJP J&K president, Ravinder Raina, Rajvijay Singh, grandson of Dr Karan Singh, DC Jammu, VCs of Universities, police officers, heads of various social organizations etc.
A handout stated that the Sewa is still going on wherein the Ashram has decided to make it even more extensive and they will provide more Tulsi plants to the common people of J&K.
