JAMMU, Sept 24: A drug peddler was arrested with 6 grams of heroin from Sidhra area here today, officials said.
They said a team of Police Post Sidhra led by SDPO Nagrota, Akash Kohli, assisted by SHO Nagrota, Inspector Vishav Partap Singh, and incharge Police Post Sidhra, PSI Arun Kumar, while on naka duty at Tawi Bridge naka rounded up a suspect.
During search of the suspect, officials said, 6 grams of heroin was recovered from one Arbaz Shabir of Lone Mohalla, Qazigund, District Anantnag, officials said.
The accused has been booked in case FIR number 383/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation taken up.
