JAMMU, Jan 3: A man allegedly tried to commit suicide by setting himself ablaze in tehsil Akhnoor.
As per reports, 40-year-old Subash Chander, son of Kunj Lal, resident of ward number 1, Kashmiri Mohalla, tehsil Akhnoor poured kerosene oil and set himself ablaze.
He was rushed to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advance treatment.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Akhnoor police station and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
