JAMMU, Jan 3: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) was held here today under the leadership of its president Shadi Lal Pandita, wherein an appeal was made to Government for enhancement of cash assistance relief to Kashmiri migrants to the tune of Rs 15000 per family per month.
Besides, an appeal was also made to implement Prime Minister’s Employment package for Migrant Youth in letter and spirit by filling the remaining posts under this package.
Alleging that no on spot recruitment rally in Police Department has been conducted till date in this Migrant Camp, the meeting demanded to conduct the same. The members also demanded to initiate the work on already sanctioned 40-bedded hospital on war footing.
The meeting also felt that Ration Quota needs to be enhanced to 15 Kg rice and 4 Kg Atta per soul besides 3 Kg sugar per soul.
It was also appealed to construct 3 additional community Halls in Jagti Migrant camp to facilitate the inmates to meet their requirements during mourning days.
