Dhara, Trehara residents’ plea to CE, SE PWD

KISHTWAR, Sept 26: The inhabitants of Dhara and Trehara hamlets in Kishtwar district have urged the Government to take the construction of link road from Bhatapora to Trehara via Dhara block Thakraie in Kishtwar district without further delay.
The residents said that the people of the twin villages are suffering a lot due to lack of road connectivity to which no attention has been paid by successive governments since the independence.
Seema Bala a social activist of the village said that the residents of twin villages are running from pillar to post for construction of road but to no avail.
She said people especially during the time of emergency especially while taking ailing people to hospital and the college and school going students are facing many hardships due to lack of road connectivity.
She said when PM is keen to develop the hitherto neglected and far-flung areas it is hoped that these two neglected hamlets which san basic facility of road connectivity will get the due attention of the authorities.
Seema Bala said a ray of hope has been generated among the people of twin hamlets after the Executive Engineer, R & B Division Chatroo has submitted a detailed report to Superintending Engineer PWD Circle, Doda urging him that the scheme be sanctioned under NABARD.
She in an appeal to Chief Engineer R&B Jammu and SE, R&B Doda urged them to look into the matter and sanction the funds under NABARD scheme so that the long pending demand of the people is settled.
