POONCH, Sept 26: A tripple-storey residential house was gutted in Khaitan area of Baila village in Mandi tehsil of Poonch district today.
Family members said that the house suddenly caught fire at about 05:00 PM in the evening. The house owner and his wife rushed to rescue their cattle. During this process Sayeda Bano, wife of Abdul Gani got injured, while the house was completely gutted in fire along with goods.
The fire and emergency services vehicle was not able to reach there because of no road connectivity to this area, while an ambulance rushed to the last spot of road. The injured woman was taken to SDH Mandi, where her condition was stated to be stable.
House owner was identified as Abdul Gani, son of Abdullah Joo, resident of Khaitan Baila in Tehsil Mandi. He said there is no electricity in that area while the fire broke out suddenly. A senior Police officer said that cause of fire is being ascertained.
