UDHAMPUR, Sept 27: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai chaired a meeting to assess the status of projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.
The meeting, held in the Mini Conference Hall in the DC Office Complex, saw the participation of officials and field workers from the Jal Shakti Department.
At the outset, Executive Engineer Ashok Kumar Sharma provided an overview of the latest progress of JJM work across different sub-divisions in the district.
Subsequently, a thorough review of the works under Jal Jeevan Mission was conducted on a sub-divisional level, with the directive to all concerned officers to accelerate the pace of work to meet the stipulated deadlines.
The DC also stressed the importance of consistent quality monitoring and timely completion of all assigned projects. She emphasized the need for concerted efforts to ensure that the objective of providing tap water to every household is achieved within the projected time frame.
Necessary instructions were issued to expedite progress and achieve 100% Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTC).
