BANIHAL, Sept 27: NC district Ramban president, Sajjad Shaheen here today asked NC cadres to intensify their political activities and public outreach to maintain grassroots-level engagement.
Addressing prominent party functionaries during the inauguration of NC office at Maitra in Ramban, Shaheen said: “In anticipation of the upcoming ULB and Panchayat elections, it is necessary for all of us to proactively prepare people for their participation in the democratic process. Staying closely connected with the masses will also aid in raising awareness about NC’s pro-people agenda and policies.”
He further said that it was their responsibility to help people understand that NC is dedicated to safeguard fundamental and democratic rights of the people.
“NC has well-defined political agenda for modern and model J&K and our objective has never been power but dignity and development of State and its people,” he maintained adding: “We do not deceive people by emotional blackmailing, slogans, falsehood, bias and creating hatred between various regions and sections of the society for votes.”
The programme was organized by Suresh Khajuria who joined NC in Jammu recently.
After this Shaheen went to the residence of NC block president Chanderkote, Mushtaq Ahmed Lone along with party colleagues and condoled the sad demise of his mother who died of illness a few days back.
