JAMMU, Sept 27: Shiv Sena J&K today claimed that for more than four years after the abrogation of Article 370, BJP is struggling to maintain its political foothold in the UT because of its anti-people policies.
Addressing a press conference here, Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena UBT J&K said since the fall of BJP-PDP coalition government in 2018, J&K people have been kept away from the democratic process.
“Despite citing the abrogation of Article 370 and improved conditions as reasons, BJP, which had promised peace and normalcy, is now attempting delay in elections for Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies using the excuse of security concern,” he maintained.
Sahni claimed that common man is suffering from unemployment while the public issues have been sidelined.
“The ground realities have turned bleak for BJP and party high command is fully aware of this fact,” he continued.
Sahni said that in an effort to salvage its image until Parliamentary elections, BJP is willing to trample upon fundamental rights of the people.
Those who were present on the occasion were BJP general secretary, Vikas Bakshi; vice president, Balwant Singh and president Kamghar Wing, Raj Singh.
