JAMMU, Sept 27: The two day long Varshik Hawan of Mata Bhuvaneshori at Chandpora Harwan in Srinagar district culminated today.
The Hawan was performed by Mata Bhuvaneshori Asthapan Committee under the supervision of L.D.Kaul, a prominent Vedic scholar. Hundreds of devotees thronged the Asthapan to participate in the religious function.
After Puranahuti Prashad was distributed among the devotees who had come from different parts of Jammu & Kashmir UT, Delhi, Haryana , Tamil Nadu and other parts of the country. Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz and Sanjay Saraf of RLJP also participated in Hawan.
The Hawan started yesterday evening and Puranahuti was performed this afternoon.
Similarly Annual hawan was solemnized at Kheerbhawani Janipur by MRSSP Janipur.
President of the MBAC Chand Jee Bhat led the team to perform Hawan at Chandpora Harwan.
While at Jammu Hawan was performed under the supervision of Tej Krishan Bhat, vice president of MBAC.
The members highlighted some issues before the DC Srinagar who assured the landscaping of the shrine will be done in next budget.
