Departments allotted to 16 Law Officers

JAMMU, Sept 27: In an order, the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs of J&K Government has allotted departments to 16 Law Officers on the recommendations of Advocate General.
As per the order, S.S Nanda, Senior Additional Advocate General has been allotted Housing and Urban Development Department including Housing Board, Rural Development Department, JDA, JMC and all Public Interest Litigations while Monika Kohli, Senior Additional Advocate General has been allotted Home Department, Revenue Department, Department of Law, Justice and PA, J&K Crime Branch, Anti-Corruption Bureau and NIA cases/all Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act Appeals.
Ramesh Arora, Senior Additional Advocate General has been allotted Social Welfare Department, J&K Sports Council, Higher Education Department and Election Department while Ravinder Gupta, Additional Advocate General has been allotted Public Works (R&B) Department, J&K Power Development Corporation, J&K Project Construction Corporation and Fixation and Regulation of Fee of Private Schools.
Amit Gupta, Additional Advocate General has been allotted Power Development Department, Tourism Department, Jal Shakti Department, Commissioner Food and Drugs Administration and all other specially assigned class of cases including Arbitration matters assigned by the Advocate General.
Raman Sharma, Additional Advocate General has been allotted GAD, Health and Medical Education Department, School Education Department (District Jammu) and J&K Services Selection Board while Vishal Bharti, Deputy Advocate General has been allotted Forest, Ecology and Environment Department, Disaster Management, Relief Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Department and School Education Department (District Kishtwar).
K.D.S Kotwal, Deputy Advocate General has been allotted Cooperative Department, Estates Department, J&K Tourism Development Corporation, Skill Development Department, School Education Department (District Ramban), Information Department and he shall also assist the Advocate General in cases involving Finance Department, Financial Corporation and all such matters specially assigned by the Advocate General.
Dewakar Sharma, Deputy Advocate General has been allotted Transport Department, J&K Road Transport Corporation, Cable Car Corporation, Floriculture including Gardens and Parks and Labour and Employment while Pawan Dev Singh, Deputy Advocate General has been allotted Civil Aviation Department, Khadi and Village Industries Board and School Education Department (Udhampur and Reasi Districts).
Sunil Malhotra, Government Advocate has been allotted Information Technology Department, Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department, Horticulture Department and Youth Services and Sports Department.
Bhanu Jasrotia, Government Advocate has been allotted Department of Culture, J&K Academy of Art, culture and Languages, Hajj and Aquaf, School Education Department (District Samba and Poonch) while Adarsh Bhagat, Government Advocate has been allotted J&K Building and other Construction Welfare Board, J&K Agro Industries Limited, Resident Commissioner, New Delhi and School Education Department (District Rajouri).
Eishaan Dadhichi, Government Advocate has been allotted Department of Tribal Affairs, Science and Technology, Hospitality and Protocol and School Education Department (District Doda).
Sumeet Bhatia, Government Advocate has been allotted J&K Legal Services Authority, ARI and Training Department, JK BOPEE, Planning Development and Minority Department and School Education Department (District Kathua) while Mohammad Irfan Inqlabi, Government Advocate has been allotted Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Ranbir Government Press, J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD).
The order further stated that Industries and Commerce Department, Geology and Mining Department, SIDCO, SICOP, Finance Department including Financial Corporation and any other Department/Corporation that has not been assigned to any Law Officer shall remain with the Advocate General.
Sumeet Bhatia, Government Advocate shall assist the Advocate General in all arbitration matters and this order shall be reviewed periodically and is subject to the satisfactory performance by Law Officers.
