KATHUA, Sept 29: Col (retd) Mahan Singh, DDC Chairman of Kathua, inaugurated a one-day free medical check-up camp at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Basohli, in a commendable initiative aimed at providing specialized medical care to the residents of the region.
The event was organized through the collaborative efforts of Col Mahan Singh, educationist Ashok Purohit and Kamal Kishore Sharma, with invaluable support from Dr. Paras Khanna, Dr. Gurpreet and Dr. Vikas of Shankus Cancer Hospital Jammu, along with Dr. Kanav Mahajan from Orthopaedic Surgeon Umang Health Care, Bari Brahmana, Dr. Ravi Kumar, Surgeon at CHC Basohli, BMO Basohli, and her dedicated team of doctors.
The camp garnered widespread participation, with prominent figures such as Prem Sagar Aziz, Ex-Minister; Darshan Singh, BJP president, Pahari Zila; Ajeet Singh, ADC Basohli; Sushma Jamwal, Chairperson Basohli; Ashok Purohit, Ex-ZEO; and numerous prominent citizens, media personnel, and patients.
People traveled from far-flung areas to avail the opportunity for specialized medical check-ups and treatments offered by doctors.
Col Mahan Singh expressed his deep commitment to the well-being of the community, emphasizing that the one-day camp was organized with the specific intention of providing specialized medical care to individuals suffering from various ailments, including cancer, Orthopedic issues, surgical needs, dental care, Gynecological concerns and ENT problems. He extended his heartfelt appreciation to the volunteer doctors for their unwavering support and goodwill gesture towards the residents of this remote region in District Kathua.
