KATHUA, Sept 29: Various social and political organizations of Kathua today demanded renaming of Kathua Railway Station on the name of Martyr Capt. Sunil Choudhary.
While addressing media, family members of Martyr Capt Sunil Choudhary, Dogra Ekta Manch, Yuva Rajput Sabha, Beopar Mandal, J&K Ex-servicemen Welfare Association, Jasrot Fort Swabiman Manch, Kathua Development Forum and other organization jointly raised a voice to honour the Capt Sunil Choudhary by naming the Kathua Railway Station as Martytr Capt Sunil Choudhary Railway Station.
Capt Sunil Choudhary son of Col. (retd) PL Choudhary made supreme sacrifice for the country while fighting with ULFA militants in Chattisgarh State and eliminated two militants before attaining the martyrdom.
They said that Udhampur Railway Station has been named on Martyr Capt Tushar with effort of PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh. Now they appealed that due respect be given to Capt Sunil Choudhary. They appealed Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh and LG Manoj Sinha to take appropriate steps to rename Kathua Railway Station on the name of Martyr Capt Sunil Choudhary as numbers of places, building are renamed on the name of martyrs.
