JAMMU, Sept 30: Today a programme on Swasth Balak Balika Spardha under was organised by Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Jammu, Kailash Devi at Residency Road, Jammu.
On the occasion Joint Director Mission POSHAN J&K, D. S Katoch was the chief guest, District Program Officer, Jammu, Renu Bhasin was guest of honour, Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, CDPO Dansal and Sachin Sharma, CDPO Satwari were the special Invitees. On this Programme Supervisors, Anganwadi Workers and beneficiaries of POSHAN Project Jammu were also present.
Healthy baby competition was organised in which Healthy babies from all POSHAN Projects of Jammu district participated,out of which 1st position was bagged by Master Udhay S/o Rahul of POSHAN Project Dansal, 2nd position went to Master Shreyansh S/o Madhu of POSHAN Project Akhnoor and 3rd place was bagged by Master Priyansh Bhardwaj S/o Mukesh Bhardwaj.
A skit on Swacchta and a song on POSHAN was presented by Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) of POSHAN Project Jammu.
Lecture was delivered by Ranbireshwar Singh Jamwal, Sachin Sharma, and Dr Shahzia Choudhary. Different nutrition items were also displayed which were prepared in the Anganwadi Centres and recipe on Millets were also displayed by AWWs. Joint Director Mission POSHAN and DPO Jammu also spoke about the ongoing POSHAN maah and its importance and also appreciated the work done by the Supervisors and AWWs of POSHAN Project Jammu.
On this concluding function of POSHAN Maah, rallies on POSHAN awareness, Swacchta, Nasha Mukth was also organized.
