RAMBAN, Sept 30: Police here today arrested two absconders who were evading their arrests to avoid legal proceedings for a long time.
Police sources informed that the absconders Kewal Chand, resident of Ladwal, Batote and Ramesh Chand, resident of Kanthi, Gandoth in Ramban were wanted in two separate cases registered under relevant sections of Excise Act at Police Station Batote in the year 2017-18 respectively.
They have been arrested by a police team led by SHO Police Station Batote, Inspector Rajesh Khajuria.
They said that both the accused were absconding and evading their arrest since long with a motive to avoid legal proceedings.
The arrest warrants were issued by JMIC Batote. Both will be produced before the court.
