IIA J&K Chapter celebrates World Architecture Day

JAMMU, Oct 1: Newly formed body of the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), J&K Chapter, celebrated World Architecture Day 2023 with a sequence of events aligning with the theme of promoting heritage, fitness, and the environment.
The day commenced with a Heritage Walk, symbolizing the interconnectedness of our heritage, fitness, and the natural world. The Walk, which began at Amar Mahal Museum and traversed to Manda Forest and back, served as a powerful reminder of the importance of preserving our cultural heritage while promoting physical health and embracing the beauty of nature.
Continuing their dedication to community service, the IIA J&K Chapter presented medical equipments of various natures to the BSF Hospital, emphasizing their gratitude and commitment to serving society.
In the evening, a knowledge-sharing session was held, featuring technical speakers Vivek Sagar Sharma, Vikas Bhola, and Sandeepu Dhar. Their expertise and insights added value to the event, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the architectural community.
Vikas Dubey, Chairman of IIA J&K chapter, underlined the pivotal role the IIA plays in fostering professional growth of Architects and highlighted upcoming events planned by the organization.
The event was graced by Rahul Yadav, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal, Commissioner, who was chief guest on the occasion. He wished IIA team success in their future endeavors.
