Stolen cement recovered, involved vehicles seized

RAMBAN, Oct 2: Police today recovered 50 bags of stolen cement marked ‘Not-For-Sale’ and arrested two persons in this connection.
Police Station Chanderkote received information from reliable sources that two persons—Rakesh Kumar, son of Romesh Chand, resident of Dalwas and Vijay Kumar, son of Om Prakash, resident of Dhalwas had stolen 50 bags of cement meant for industrial use and costing around Rs. 25,000 and were transporting the same in two Tata Autos bearing numbers JK19A-2997 and JK19A-2270 for illegal sale.
A case in FIR number 122/2023 was registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Chanderkote and a special team was formed which intercepted the vehicles and recovered the stolen cement.
An investigation is underway to determine whether the recovered cement was stolen or misappropriated by some agency.
The entire recovery was done by a police party under the command of SHO Police Station Chanderkote Inspector P.D Singh, under the supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters Om Parkash, Additional SP Gaurav Mahajan and under the overall supervision of Mohita Sharma, SSP Ramban.
