BJP leader visits Qasim Nagar, interacts with people

JAMMU, Oct 2: Continuing their ongoing people to people contact campaign, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member, Raman Suri today visited at Qasim Nagar, Ward No. 19 of Jammu East Assembly Constituency.
The campaign was inaugurated by Party Chief J P Nadda at Delhi, aims to facilitate a deeper engagement with these communities.
During this initiative, the BJP workers and leaders will be visiting approximately 75000 slums, 7500 hostels, and various other bastis to disseminate information about the myriad of schemes launched by the Central and State Governments, while highlighting the list of beneficiaries.
Shedding light on the essence of the party’s vision under this campaign, Suri emphasized the need for outreach to people residing in the bastis. He pointed out that substantial proportions of beneficiaries under key schemes like Kisan Samman Nidhi, Jal Jeevan, and PM Aawas belong to the SC, ST communities and stressed the vital role of BJP workers as bridges, ensuring that these welfare schemes reach the most marginalized sections of the society.
He highlighted significant SC Welfare Schemes, including Dr Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship, which offers crucial financial assistance for higher education and also mentioned the establishment of the Scheduled Castes Development Corporation (SCDC), which is focused on encouraging self-employment and skill development.
The BJP leader along with others visited more than 50 households, contacted more than 100 people including children and distributed notebooks, pencils and refreshment among them all.
Among others who accompanied the BJP leader included Kuldeep Kandhari General Secretary BJP District Jammu, Manav Mahajan Vice President BJP District Jammu, Sanjay Mahey Spokesperson District Jammu, Rajesh Nischal Vice President Jammu East Mandal, Chaman Angral Mandal President SC Morcha Jammu East, Swarn Singh BJP President Ward No. 19, Harvinder Singh Sonu Shakti Kendra Parmukh amd local residents of the area.
