RAMBAN, Oct 3: Chairperson District Development Council, Ramban, Dr. Shamshad Shan here today inaugurated the work of a 2 km long link road from High School Chachawa to Bhat Mohalla Galli.
The work will be completed with an estimated cost of Rs. 280 lakh.
AEE PWD Sub-Division Gool, Vimal Kishan Sidha; AE PWD Gool, Madhur Goel; JE PWD, Haider Ali; PRIs and locals were also present on the occasion.
The road will be constructed by Public Works Department, Ramban under NABARD RIDIF.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson said with the completion of the road project a long pending demand of the areas will be fulfilled and the infrastructure will provide smooth transport connectivity to the area besides benefiting a large population.
While interacting with the locals, Dr. Shamshad Shan said that government is committed to fulfill the genuine demands of the people and the PRIs should bring public demands and issues to the notice of administration for timely redressal.
She also interacted with PRIs and asked them to chalk out developmental and welfare plans.
Dr. Shan said that the government has empowered PRIs by involving them in development and other activities at grassroots level.
