JAMMU, Oct 5: Dr Sanjay Bansal, Member Railway Board Indian Railway, (Ministry of Railways) conducted a formal inspection at Jammu Railway Station along some prominent citizens of Jammu. During inspection he met Prateek Shrivastav (DTM-Jammu), Jugal Kishore (Senior Superintendent-Jammu Railway Station), Chetan Prakash SHO RPF, Niaz, SHO GRP, Rashid, Head TT-Jammu Railway Station. During inspection whole administration of Jammu Railway Station were present. All the issues observed during the inspection like Naka at the entry of the Jammu Railway Station, Parking issues, Regular cleaning of Railway Tracks, Chlorination of Drinking Water, Increase of Seating Capacity of Passengers at Railway Platforms, Cleanliness of Public Toilets, Control of theft cases in the trains, regular working of Escalators, Early start of new platforms, etc. were discussed with the administration of Railway Station and required measures were suggested for implementation.
Dr Bansal informed that the inspection report will be forwarded to the Ministry of Railway at the earliest possible for the betterment and development of Jammu Railway Station.
He promised in the presence of whole media that this type inspection will be carried out on the regular basis for the betterment of Jammu Railway Station, and he also said that the next inspection will be carried out Katra Railway Station very soon.
During inspection the prominent citizens including, Sanjeev Aggarwal, Prashant Singh and Arun Sabharwal were also present.
