JAMMU, Oct 5: Director Health Services (DHS) Jammu, Dr Rajeev Sharma inaugurated a Health Mela, at Sub District Hospital (SDH), Akhnoor today.
Chief Medical Officer Jammu, Block Medical Officer Akhnoor, Dr Salim Khan, staff members and prominent persons of the town were also present on the occasion. A team of doctors from GMC Jammu and Govt Hospital, Gandhinagar was deployed to examine the patients for different ailments.
Different OPD services like Neurology, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Dermatology, General Medicine, Orthopaedics, Gynae/Obs, ENT, Opthamology, Radiology, Dental OPD and Laboratory Facilities were setup for better patient care. Creation of ABHA ID’s, generation of Golden Card’s, Sputum collection and preparation of Malaria slides was also done on the occasion.
More than 700 and 350 patients were examined at CHC Akhnoor and CHC Jourian, respectively. Awareness regarding todays camp and various other Health Schemes/National Health Programmes was given by CHO’s.
Director Health alongwith CMO Jammu also took round of some sections of the hospital and observations conveyed for improvement.
