Theft case solved, stolen items recovered

RAMBAN, Oct 5: Ramban Police today claimed to have solved a theft case within two days by arresting two thieves and recovering stolen articles from their possession.
“Acting on a written complaint filed on October 3 by a person namely Ravan Kumar son of Chaman Lal resident of Seri (Ramban) regarding theft of 8 batteries from his automobile shop at Seri, Ramban Police registered a case under FIR Number 303/2023 U/S 457/380 IPC and started investigation,” a Police spokesman said.
He said during investigation, Ramban Police rounded up two suspects namely Akshey Katoch son of Ranjit Singh and Parvez Khan son of Mohd Shafi (both residents of Seri, Ramban) and on sustained questioning, both the suspects confessed their involvement in the commission of offence.
“Both the suspects were arrested and on their disclosure, Police recovered 8 stolen batteries,” the spokesman added.
The arrest and recovery was made by PSI Shiv Dutt under the guidance of Inspector Nayeem Mattoo (SHO Ramban).
