JAMMU, Oct 5: To discuss the issue of disposal of garbage and solid waste in Transport Nagar, the members of Motor Parts Dealers Association (MPDA) held a meeting here today.
The meeting was held under the Presidentship of Rajinder Parshad Kakkar.
On the occasion, the main issues of association included the demand for fixing garbage disposal points within all seven yards of transport Nagar Narwal, collection of garbage in daily routine by Government authority and to organise an awareness drive in collaboration with JKSPC Jammu regarding the disposal of garbage and solid waste in area, were discussed in detail.
MPDA expressed serious concern regarding how to control the pollution and solid waste of automobile workshop.
The association further appealed to LG Sinha to take their demands seriously and issue time bound directions to the authorities concerned to sort out their problems on priority basis.
The meeting has been attended by other members of the association included S. Jaswinder Singh, S. Parvinder Singh, Sanjay Dogra and Sham Singh Bhau.
