DODA, Jan 7: Senior Congress leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, visited Thathri, Dunadi and Khara areas here today to take stock of the situation arisen due to heavy snowfall.
He interacted with the victims of snowfall and directed the administration to provide all the basic amenities to the people hassle free.
The Congress leader said the road clearance and restoration of important public services that have been affected by the heavy snowfall should be the first concern of the Government officials.
During the meeting detailed discussions were held with regard to opening of road links, snow clearance from interior roads, restoration of electricity and supply of essentialities including ration, LPG & K oil to the people.
Saroori also interacted with the victims of devastating fire that broke out few days back and engulf four residential complexes.
He assured them that the Government will take all possible steps for their rehabilitation and directed the officers to prepare a comprehensive report about the extent of damage so that adequate compensation can be provided to them.
