RAJOURI, Oct 7: A 3-years-old girl child, who had gone missing on Thursday afternoon in Kandi area of Rajouri district, was found dead in a local river. this morning.
Reports said that 3- year old Iram Chaudhary, daughter of Mohammad Hanif of Daraj area, under Kandi Police Station, had come along with her mother to her maternal grandmother’s house in Kandi area. On Thursday, both mother and daughter went to the river. When the mother was busy in washing clothes, the little girl suddenly went missing from there, after which a massive search was started to locate her.
Police and Army also assisted the locals and after about 16 hours of intense search, body of the girl child was recovered from the river.
