JAMMU, Oct 7: Senior BJP leader and former chairman of JMC Social Justice Committee, Jeet Angral listened public grievances in Krishna Nagar area of Ward number 12 wherein the main problem highlighted by the locals was regarding exorbitant electricity bills.
Angral, who is also Councillor of the Ward collected all such bills from the residents and submitted them to the concerned higher authorities of Power Development Department (PDD).
He appealed to the LG and higher authorities of PDD to wave off these bills as the Ward is a slum area inhabited mostly by downtrodden masses who with great difficulty earn their livelihood.
The BJP leader also said that some of the bills were faulty which should be looked into.
He further said that the process of PHH Ration Cards and pension for old age persons, widows and physically challenged persons should be started immediately as people are in desperate need of assistance from the government.
Angral said that he was committed to work to address issues of the people of the Ward and urged all the residents of Krishna Nagar to contact him for resolution of their issues.
