Save constitution rally by Cong at Gadigarh

JAMMU, Oct 8: JKPCC president Vikar Rasool Wani along with JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla today led huge `Save Constitution Rally’ which started from Gadigarh and culminated at Karan Bagh where huge public gathering was addressed by them along with former Minister Yogesh Sawhney, former MP Tarlok Singh Bajwa, NSUI National president Neeraj Kundan and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Wani said democracy, Constitution and the country are in danger under the BJP government. “Congress knows how to rule and run the government. Congress can develop the country better. BJP government assured people to bring black money, provide employment for youths but failed,” he said.
JKPCC chief said the BJP had formed Government on the basis of catch phrases. “They assured people of ‘Achhe Din’ and to bring back black money from Swiss banks, but failed. They talk about Hindutva. We were taught to respect all religions,” he said.
Wani said Congress follows principles in politics, while BJP leaders try to destroy peace and brotherhood across the country. People have to decide and chose between fake and true leaders in Lok Sabha election. He said that Congress has emerged a vibrant force in J&K and more and more leaders from various political parties are joining party.
Raman Bhalla said that it is the Congress alone which has served the people to the best of their ability, as that the party feels duty bound to the wellbeing of the people in J&K. He said Congress has always taken care of urges and aspirations of every section of the erstwhile State and it will continue to safeguard their interests. Congress will become number one party in J&K in the upcoming elections. Winds of change are sweeping through J&K, he asaid.
Yogesh Sawhney slammed NDA Govt at the Centre for depriving the members of the Scheduled Castes and other underprivileged classes of even their basic rights, not to talk of other rights. He asserted that the underprivileged communities are being totally ignored and deprived under the BJP proxy Govt in the JKUT.
NSUI chief Neeraj Kundan said that Congress has always been the messiah of the underprivileged especially the SC community people. He exuded confidence that all SC people will vote en mass for the Congress candidates in the upcoming Panchayat and ULB polls and thereafter in the Assembly polls whenever these are held.
SC Cell Vice Chairman Pawan Bhagat and Congress Refugee Cell Chairman Amrit Bali also spoke on the occasion.
Congress Sewa Dal Chairman Vijay Sharma Babbi, SC Cell Chairmen Karan Bhagat, TS Tony, Shashi Sharma, Pankaj Dogra, Bushan Lal Dogra, Jatinder Singh Chib and others were also present on the occasion.
