Samba police seizes 11 more vehicles for illegal mining

SAMBA, Oct 8: Continuing vigorous drive against illegal mining launched on the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, police has seized 11 more vehicles which were being used for illegal mining in district Samba.
Police said its teams comprising of SHO Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana, Sumeet Sharma, SHO Police Station (PS), Purmandal. Vijay Verma, SHO Police Station (PS), Vijaypur Sandeep Charak, SHO Police Station (PS), Samba Daljit Singh and in charge Police Post (PP) Rakh Amb Tali, PSI Davinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO, Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar, DySP, Garu Ram, SDPO, Vijaypur, Rohit Kumar and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary have seized 11 more vehicles being used for illegal mining at different locations in Samba district.
The seized vehicles included three dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK02CG-5983, JK21E-2447 & JK19A-2923, two tippers bearing Registration Numbers, JK02CS-9114 and one without Registration Number six, tractor trolleys bearing Registration Numbers,JK08A-9963, JK21G-1766, JK21H-1732 & JK21J-5547 and two without Registration Number.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that total 178 vehicles have been seized in nine months for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive against illegal mining. Police would not allow illegal mining in Samba district and would take more stringent actions against mining mafia.
