Attack on Bank Officer unacceptable: JKBOA

JAMMU, Oct 8: The Jammu & Kashmir Bank Officers Association (JKBOA), has said that attack on a Bank Officer at Doda is totally unacceptable and contrary to the principles of mutual respect.
A meeting of JKBOA, held here today was presided by Anil Sharma, president of JKBOA, Jammu Unit. The members including Sunil Bahu general secretary, Kapil Nanda, president AIJKBOF, and other members of Jammu Division strongly condemned the recent incident in which one of its members, Branch Manager Doda Branch has been manhandled and threatened by one of the borrowers when he was requested to clear the over dues against his loan liabilities.
They said such an incident is totally unacceptable and contrary to the principles of mutual respect and tolerance that our association members hold. Members expressed their unwavering solidarity with Satpal Singh, Branch Manager, Doda.
“We are committed to support our members with a pledge that such type of incidents will not be tolerated and the booked culprit must be put behind the bars ensuring delivery of justice. Our Association stands together as united front against any form of harassment, violence against any of its members/staff of the bank,” they resolved.
JKBOA Jammu expressed gratitude to management of the Bank which swiftly took cognizance of the matter and stood beside the officer. The Association expressed its gratitude to the district police authorities who immediately swung into action on lodging of the FIR.
