JAMMU, Oct 8: On the recommendation of Principal, Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) today cancelled provisional admission of two candidates in MBBS Course for the academic session 2023-24, under PwD category.
“The candidature of Afsana Mehboob of Poonch and Raja Naveed ul Hassan of Poonch in the provisional merit list notified vide notification number 045-BOPEE of 2023 dated 27-07-2023 and in the provisional selection list notified vide notification number 057-BOPEE dated 11-08-2023 issued by BOPEE shall always have deemed to have been cancelled, ab initio,” said a notification issued today by J&K BOPEE.
Pertinent to mention here that Afsana Mehboob and Raja Naveed ul Hassan, who were provisionally selected for MBBS Course in GMC Jammu, had been found as ineligible for admission under PwD (Persons with Disabilities) category by the Medical Assessment Board of the Institution as the Board found that Afsana Mehboob has temporary disability which can be rectified by surgery while Raja Naveed ul Hassan figured in the merit list notified by the BOPEE on the basis of fake and fraudulent PwD certificate bearing number JK0510620020218780 dated 15-09-2022 purportedly issued by CMO Poonch.
