JAMMU, Oct 9: Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum has expressed its concern over the delay in release of salary, GP Fund and other dues.
An emergency meeting of the Forum was held today at its Head Office Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, J&K, UT Chairman JKTF, in which the burning issues of the employees of all the Departments of J&K UT came under discussion.
Addressing the meeting, Ganesh Khajuria expressed his anguish and concern over the pathetic condition of the employees arisen due to the apathetical approach of the Higher authorities towards the sanction & release of the appropriate funds for the drawal of the monthly salary in favour of the employees of all the Government Departments.
Furthermore, he added, the G P Fund advance & the Final G P Fund withdrawal, Gratuity, Commutation Pension amounts and other drawals are lying pending in the Government Treasuries besides the fact that these bills have been passed by the concerned Treasury Officers months ago but no attention is being paid by the Higher authorities to release the due amount in favour of the aggrieved employees particularly for those who have for the drawals on the priority levels. The non – serious approach of the Authorities have created havoc like situation among the employees as many of them need these amounts for the medical treatment, marriage of their children or for the Education Fee of their wards, he further said.
Ganesh Khajuria appealed to the Higher authorities to pay special attention towards these burning issues and release the sufficient funds for the release of the monthly salary well in time and release of GP Fund advance, Gratuity & Pension Commutation amounts without any further delay.
Among others who were present in the meeting included S Surat Singh Toofani, Darshan Sharma, Gopal Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Raj Singh, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Kuldeep Verma, P D Singh, Gautam Singh, Bharat Bhushan Sharma and many others.
