Seminar on KPs contribution towards language, literature concludes

JAMMU, Oct 10: The two-day Seminar on Role of Kashmiri Pandits to Kashmiri Language and Literature concluded at JKAACL, here today.
On the second day, the event began with paper reading session. The session was presided over by Prof. Shad Ramzan, convenor Kashmiri Language. Other who shared the presidium included P.N Trisal and Gouri Shankar Raina. In this session P.N. Trisal read the paper on the contribution of Kashmiri Pandits in making History of Jammu and Kashmi and Gouri Shankar Raina read the paper on Kashmiri Pandits contribution to drama.
In the beginning Dr. Shahnawaz, ECCO(G), JKAACL welcomed the guests on behalf of the Secretary, JKAACL, Bharat Singh, JKAACL. He thanked the writers and audience for making the event successful.
After the paper reading session, Makhan Lal Pandita and Vijay Sagar presented their stories.
This was followed by Kashmiri Poetry. The Poetry session was presided over by P N Shad while Prof .B .L Zutshi was guest of honour. Writers who presented their poetries included P.N. Shad, Badri Nath Abhilash , Bal Krishen Sanyasi, Pyare Hatash Tej Sagar, Satish Safeer, Rajinder Agosh, Mohan Lal Tickoo (Didar Mohan), Ramesh Nirash, Mahraj Krishan, Santosh Shah Nadaan, Kusum Dhar, Chaman Pinjuri, Som Nath Bhat, Pitamber Razdan, Nancy Chetna, Rajni Bahar, Shad Ramzan and Gopi Krishan Bahar. The prominent among audience were Prof. Veena Pandita, Dr R .L. Shant and others.
At the conclusion of the event, Light music programme was presented by the young budding artists like Gandarav Kaloo , Pranav Pandita, Vishwas Pandita, Simran Gurtoo, Pallvi Koul and Shriya Gurtoo who spellbound the audience with their melodious voices. They were equally supported by Rahul Bhardwaj on Tabla, Rakesh Anand on Flute, Vicky Gill on Synth and Ritesh on Octopad. The musical evening was composed by Kuldeep Saproo a renowned music composer. The program was conducted by Vijay Wali.
