Jairam Ramesh regrets his baseless allegations against Prem Dhumal

*Apologizes in writing for his mistake

HAMIRPUR, Oct 10:

Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Jairam Ramesh today regretted for his baseless allegations against the former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Prem Dhumal and his son Anurag Thakur.
Jairam Ramesh apologized for his remarks against Dhumal in writing and admitted his mistake.
Pertinent to mention here that jairam Ramesh in a press conference had made baseless allegations against former Chief Minister Professor Prem Kumar Dhumal and his son Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur, on which former CM Dhumal filed a defamation case of Rs 1 crore against Jai Ram Ramesh in Shimla High Court.
According to the highly placed sources, Congress leader met with former Chief Minister Professor Prem Kumar Dhumal and talked about this issue.
“Jairam Ramesh has expressed regret in writing to former Chief Minister Professor Prem Kumar Dhumal over the false and baseless allegations made in the press conference,” the sources further informed.
Jairam Ramesh has also written that former Chief Minister Professor Prem Kumar Dhumal is a senior politician and he respects him a lot.
Jairam Ramesh said he was sorry he did it.
The former Chief Minister has told Jai Ram Ramesh that he will not pursue the case further if he feels bad and regrets the mistake committed by him. (Agency)
