SRINAGAR, Oct 10: The Income Tax (IT) raids targeting certain business groups continued for second consecutive day in Kashmir valley today.
An official said the IT sleuths today raided several locations in Srinagar, Sopore, Sonamarg, Khrew, Budgam, Humhama, Lal Mandi and Hyderpora areas.
“The raids being conducted since Monday are related to some businesses of ARCO group,” he said.
During the raids, some cash, evidence of property investment, and other documents have been seized.
“A cash amount of Rs 2 crore was recovered during the raids at Shah Anwar Colony in Hyderpora,” he said.
