KATHUA, Jan 8: One person was knocked to death while crossing a road by an unknown vehicle at Shakti Nagar near Kaaliabari here this afternoon.
He has been identified as Sain Dass, of Shakti Nagar.
He was shifted to District Hospital Kathua where he succumbed to his injuries.
However the family members and relatives of the deceased held a protest in the Hospital premises alleging that he was not attended by the doctor on duty properly as the injury received by him were not so serious which could have led to his death.
However alter the SHO Kathua pacified them and the body will be handed over to family tomorrow after postmortem.
The Kathua police has registered a case but the vehicle has not been traced as yet.
