J&K’s Punjabi film ‘Meri Jind Jaan’ to hit theaters tomorrow

JAMMU, Oct 11: The Punjabi film ‘Meri Jind Jaan’ will be the first ever film of Jammu and Kashmir which is going to be screened in cinemas of States other than J&K.
This was stated by Production Head of the Film, Shamsher Singh Chohalvi while addressing a press conference, here today. He was accompanied by Executive Producer Dr Satvir Singh Raina, Writer-Producer-Director Bikram Singh as well as cast and crew of the Film. On the occasion, the poster of the Film was released.
Chohalvi said that the Film is a praise-worthy attempt of the team of Simran Visual Art. It is a well civilized and cultural piece of art with very sweet and heart touching melodious songs with Dalmia Sound and Music.
Director Bikram Singh said that the Film can be seen at Jammu in Apsara Theatre, Gandhi Nagar at 12:30 PM whereas there will be four shows of the Film daily in Hari Cinema, Raghunath Bazar, Jammu. He said it is a big achievement of their team that ‘Meri Jind Jaan’ is being released in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and other states on the same day i.e. October 13.
He said the film is a family drama, with very neat and clean story and dialogues, showing careful and responsible character of a brother towards his sister, how a father is cautious towards his wards and how the village panchayat is performing its responsibilities towards and against the ill will of the mischievous elements of the village.
The star cast of the Film includes Aarti Bhagat, Sonia Dogra, Shivpal Singh and Sawarn Singh (From Punjab), Veena Dogra, Meera Tapasvi, Rakesh Mayus, Amarjeet Kour, Shamsher Singh Chohalvi, Sharanjeet Kour, Rahi Simbal Puria, Vicky Sagar, Davinder Dhanjal, Rakesh Chalotra, Arun Sharma, Amrik Singh, Chanchal Jackson, Bindia and others.
The lyrics of the Film have been written by Rahi Simbalpuria, Bikram Singh and R Samyal while Cinematography has been done by Vinod Gupta. The music of the Film has been given by Kuldeep Saproo and Rahi Simbalpuria has given his voice to the songs whereas Neeraj Badyal is the editor of the Film.
